On March 16, 2012, I sent a drawing to Nolan Ryan through the Texas Rangers baseball club.
It was returned to me, unsigned, on Monday, March 26, 2012, along with a card of Nolan Ryan, Texas Rangers President, and a letter explaining that Mr. Ryan has asked all autograph requests be directed to his Foundation.

Nolan Ryan

Nolan Ryan was born on January 31, 1947. He is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, nicknamed “The Ryan Express.” He is currently principal owner, president and CEO of the Texas Rangers.
He pitched from 1966- 1993 for the New York Mets, California Angels, Houston Astros, and Texas Rangers. He was an eight time all-star (1972, ’73, ’75, ’77, ’79, ’81, ’85, ’89), and a World Series Champion (1969 Mets).
He holds the all-time Strike Out record (5,714) and Career No Hitter record (7).
His number was retired by the Astros (#34), and Rangers (#34). He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.
