Fredric Michael Lynn was born on February 3, 1952. He is a former Major League Baseball center fielder.
He played from 1974- ’90 for the Boston Red Sox, California Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, and San Diego Padres.
He was a nine-time AL All-Star (1975, ’76, ’77, ’78, ’79, ’80, 81, ’82, and ’83), and a four-time Gold Glove Winner (1975, ’78, ’79, ’80). He was the 1975 AL Rookie of the Year, and 1975 AL MVP.
He was also the 1979 AL Batting Champion, the 1982 ALCS MVP, and the 1983 MLB All-Star Game MVP.
He had a career batting average of .283, 306 home runs, and 1,111 runs batted in.
