James Louis Fregosi was born on April 4, 1942. He is a former Major League Baseball short stop and manager.
He played from 1961- ’78 for the Angels, Mets, Rangers, and Pirates, and also managed the Angels, White Sox, Phillies, and Blue Jays.
He was a six time All Star (1964, ’66, ’67, ’68, ’69, and ’70), and a 1967 Gold Glove winner.
He finished his career with a .265 batting average, 151 home runs, and 706 runs batted in.
His #11 has been retired by the Los Angeles Angels.

Jim Fregosi died on February 14, 2014. He was 71.
